Current SEWA Projects in Cleveland, OH • Clothing, blankets, footwear: Vastradaan (Shiva Vishnu Temple) • Women’s Issues: Sakhi (project with Shiva Vishnu Temple) (ManjuRastogi) • Welcome project - • CASE students Sai and Aditya are leading this project • Project Mitralaya (HiraFoetedar ) • Employment Placement: Karma Yogi • Job Placement: Shangri La Job Placement Agency • Resume writing, Job Etiquette Workshop, Job Interviews Sarah Elswick (YFS ‘07), NamitaSabade, and ApurwaKaushik • Microenterprise • Shangrila Sweepers: House Cleaning , Office cleaning, and Janitorial Service ( NGO ASIA 12 weeks training, 15 women have been trained ) • Landscaping ( Prof. Francis Weng), trained 8 workers • Sewing (1 women employed as seamstress), weaving, computer use • Project Krishi – Agriculture http://www.sewausa.org

Current SEWA Projects in Cleveland, OH • Education and Career Counseling: VinayaVidya (Undergrads: Hindu Yuwa and uISA) • Community College Information Session (70 youth attended)-April 2009 • Cleveland State University (42 youth attended) – June 20, 2009 • 36 Students transcripts evaluated (saving each $150) • Project Vani – Help tutoring GED and High School Students (Prof. Gerard) • Innovative contextual ESL curriculum • Weekly classes for Adults, youth and children • Project Vahan • Ravi Marwaha is leading this . Giving driving lessons at discounted cost and jobs at transportation company • Project Arogya – Yoga, AOL , Summa Health Camp and sports like cricket, soccer. • Project Peace - Harmony • SumitaKedia and SwapanaMandava are leading this to hold Bhajans • Roti and Samosa Project • Sunil Narahari is leading this project http://www.sewausa.org
