  1. Social Systems & Problems By Dr. Frank Elwell

  2. PowerPoint Instructions: • Before beginning the course I would like to give you just a few tips on how to best use the PowerPoint presentations at this site. • The lectures are based on the same notes I use in teaching the class at Rogers State University.

  3. PowerPoint Instructions: • As you go through the presentations you should take notes (writing the key points has a way of concentrating the mind). • Do not try to print these slides off, you will waste paper and gain little.

  4. Class Instructions: Most of the material in these online presentations does not appear in any of the texts. Much of the lecture material will address, directly or indirectly, exam questions and/or provide information for discussions. But the texts and the other supplemental materials are important as well.

  5. Class Instructions: • Remember, all of the material at this site is intended to aid you in mastering the material. I want you to do well. • Check your RSU email for class information on a regular basis. Access the class site at least on a weekly basis. Study the texts, lectures, and other class materials.

  6. Class Instructions: • Attend to the in-class discussions. To prepare for discussions as well as your exams, answer the “assignments” fully and completely. Exams will be drawn from these Assignments. • Discipline and pace are key. I want you to do well, make it happen.
