  2. Organelles Cell Wall Cell Membrane Golgi Bodies CREDITS Ribosomes Nucleolus E.R. Cytoplasm Mitochondria Vacuole Lysosome Nucleus Chloroplasts

  3. Cytoplasm Cytoplasm is the fluid that fills the cell. It’s inside the cell wall and the cell membrane. It’s the jelly like substance that fills the cell. It is the medium through which material passes through the cell.

  4. Vacuole The vacuole are storage bubbles found in a cell. They are much larger in a plant cell. They store food or any other variety of nutrients a cell will need to survive. If the vacuole is empty the plant will not look good , it will be bent over. If the vacuole is full then the plant will be straight and will be healthy. All it needs is just water!

  5. Nucleus The plant cell nucleus is the control center of the cell. It contains hereditary material (DNA). It directs the cell’s activities.

  6. Cell wall The cell wall is the outer covering of the plant cell, and the animal cell doesn’t have the cell wall . The cell wall provides structure, support, and function.

  7. Chloroplasts Chloroplasts are the food producers of the cell. They are only found in plant cells. They take the energy from the sun and take the CO2+HO2 which is water and turn it into sugar and oxygen.

  8. Organelles All parts of the cell are organelles. Organelles

  9. Mitochondrion The mitochondrion provides energy a cell needs to move. They are the powerhouse of the cell. They have different cell shapes depending on the cell type.

  10. Lysosome The Lysosome helps maintain and repair cell structures and digest waste. The purpose of lysosome is to digest things. The lysosome in the plant cell is used to digest food or break down the cell when it dies.

  11. Golgi Bodies The Golgi bodies works closely with the rough E.R. When protein is made in the E.R. this Vesicle or sac floats through the cytoplasm to the Golgi apparatus, and is absorbed.

  12. Ribosome Ribosomes are small organelles. They are found in the Cytoplasm, the surface of the E.R., the Mitochondria, and on Chloroplast. They are composed of proteins. There are free ribosomes and attached ribosomes.

  13. Endoplasmic Reticulum(E.R.) It is a system of channels that move materials around the cell. They are very important in the synthesis and packaging of proteins. The endoplasmic reticulum helps to translate, fold, and transport proteins. It transfers substances through the cell. It also transfers substances out of the cell.

  14. Cytoplasm Is the fluid that fills the cell. Its inside the cell wall and the cell membrane. Its the jelly like substance that fills the cell. It is the medium through which material passes through the cell.

  15. Nucleolus A small typical round granular body composed of protein and RNA in the nucleus of the cell. The nucleolus produces ribosomes.

  16. Cell Membrane Next to the cell wall, lies the cell membrane. The cell membrane lets particles come in and out of the cell. Its main function is selective transport of nutrients.
