  6. Celanese • Celanese Corporation recently announced they will invest $150 million in their Giles County operation. Celanese will be replacing coal-fired boilers with natural gas-fired boilers. • This project will create 22 full-time positions. • Virginia successfully competed for this project over other global alternatives.

  7. Bauer Compressors • Bauer Compressors announced that they will expand their facilities in Norfolk. With this expansion, Bauer will remain the number one High Pressure Compression Systems and Solutions Manufacturer in the World. • This will be a 18,000 SF addition to the fabrication facility and a 13,000 SF addition to the offices.

  8. Hanes Brands • Hanes Brands, Inc. announced they will update the Patrick County operation by investing $1.6 million to add new high-speed manufacturing equipment. This will create 50 new jobs. • Hanes Brands also has a highly automated distribution center in Martinsville.
