  4. Legal Metrology • Existing Laws are outdated • Metrology Law was drafted with the assistance of NZ-aid in 2007

  5. Future Plan on Metrology • To Promulgate Metrology Law • To establish NMI • To establish New Department of Standards

  6. NMI • Need Human Resources(Metrologists/ Inspectors) • Need Laboratory equipments • Need to establish verification and type approval scheme according to Metrology Law ( draft)
