  2. Let’s Eradicate The Culture Of School Drop-Outs And Gift Them Education Access to Quality Health Services By Every Child - Recent Comments - - Archives - November 2019 September 2019 July 2019 Child trafficking is a stark reality that must be faced head-on, in order to combat it and uproot it for good. National Human Rights Commission of India recently shared a report that shows that (approx) 40,000 children are yearly abducted in India, wherein 11,000 go off the radar, without any trace of their whereabouts. Children hailing from marginalized communities are most vulnerable, including those hailing from lower caste and/or tribal communities, other minority groups, and the girl child who is more probable of being trafficked. May 2019 September 2018 December 2017 September 2017 To begin with, it is essential to understand the definition of child trafficking. Child trafficking is when children are forced, misled or persuaded to relocate from their homes or families, and then exploited in one or multiple ways. From children forced to join the work force (factory worker, domestic help, store help etc) to sold off for sex trafficking, children are kept in neglected and intimidating environments. - Tags - child abuse in Indiachild education Indiachild rightsdonate money onlinefund for NGOgirls education in Indiaincome tax exempt ngosave children Following are few reasons why child trafficking is still rampant in the world, especially India: Advertisements

  3. Lack of Education Deprives of Any Long-Term Growth Education allows one to have a world view, and understand the difference between right and wrong. Education helps one cultivate a moral compass and the lack of it can compel one to take horrifying decisions like participating in child trafficking. Many people from financially compromised backgrounds do not understand the impact of trafficking on the child – how it hampers their mental, physical and emotional growth. Lack of Job Opportunities Holds Back in Learning And Earning Many people in smaller cities/villages have big families but hardly any money to support their needs. And lack of job opportunities often compel them to ‘send off’ their children, in order to take care of other family members. With less or no sources of income, many families participate in trafficking without knowing that it is against the law or that they are participating in exploiting children. Child trafficking requires intervention via varied mediums. One of the methods include support from non profit organizations in India. One of the NGOs working tirelessly towards this cause is Child Rights and You.
