  1. Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 2019) What is AFCAT? ● The Air Force Common Admission Test abbreviated as AFCAT is directed by the Indian Air Force. It was the world's fourth-biggest Air Force. The test is held two times per year in the month of February and August to choose Class-I Gazetted officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). The AFCAT Test is conducted all over India by the Indian Air force. AFCAT is a short way for applicants, both female, and male, to join the Indian Air Force as officers for both Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission/ Short Service Commission in Ground Duties for both Technical and Non-Technical jobs. When selected for the training process through AFCAT, competitors need to experience a 74 weeks training session for Flying and Ground Duties. If there should arise an occurrence of Ground Duties for Non-Technical role, the training is of 52 weeks held at Air Force Training Establishments. In 2018, AFCAT was conducted online for the first time since the exam was presented. The online exam was followed by Air Force Selection Board Interview for the Applicants who have cleared the online test. ● ● ● What are the Job Posts filled under AFCAT Exam? As per AFCAT Notification 2019, three major branches under short services commission and permanent commission is done. The three branches are (i) Flying, (ii) Ground Duty (Technical), and (iii) Ground Duty (Non-Technical) where branches for Ground Duty staffs are further classified.   2. AFCAT Notification 2019 Eligibility! Candidates who are eager to take ​AFCAT Notification 2019 must check, regardless of whether they fulfill the desired eligibility criteria or not. The brief eligibility criteria for different branches and courses is mentioned underneath for your reference. Nationality​: Candidates must be a resident of India. Age Limit:​ It changes according to the branch viz. ● Flying Branch ​(AFCAT & NCC Entry): 20 – 24 years as on January 1, 2020, for example, conceived between January 2, 1996 – January 1, 2000. ● Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical): 20 – 26 years as on January 1, 2020, for example, conceived between January 2, 1994 – January 1, 2000. ● The DOB acknowledged by the IAF is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate recognized by an Indian University. Marital Status: ● Candidates under 25 years ​of age ​must be unmarried at the time of Joining of course. ● Widows/Widowers and divorced people and below 25 years are not Eligible. Education Qualification: ● Flying Branch: Minimum of 60% marks each in Math and Physics at 10+2 dimension. ● Graduation with min. 3 years degree in any order from a recognized college with at least 60% imprints. AFCAT Exam 2019: Selection Process and Exam Pattern AFCAT Exam is held Two times per year. The online Test is conducted by the Indian Air Force. This year the test is scheduled on 16 and 17th February 2019. Here is the selection process of AFCAT: ● Stage 1: AFCAT Written Exam for the Non-Technical candidates; and AFCAT+EKT for the Technical applicants. ● Stage 2: AFSB Interview. ● Stage 3: Medical Test.
