  1. Fill in the blanks: • Justice is… • Mercy is… • Grace is…

  2. Justice is…getting what we deserve. • Mercy is…not getting what we deserve. • Grace is…getting what we don’t deserve.

  3. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rm. 6:23)

  4. “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 25 For “you were like sheep going astray,”but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” (I Pt. 2:24)

  5. Ephesians 2:4ff But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

  6. Ephesians 2 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus….

  7. Ephesians 2 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”

  8. Ephesians 2 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

  9. 2 Peter 3:18 “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”

  10. Galatians 1 13For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it. 14 I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

  11. Galatians 1 15But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being….

  12. Galatians 1 22I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. 23 They only heard the report: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” 24 And they praised God because of me.

  13. What has God’s grace saved us from in life… in our experience?

  14. Sharing our stories of grace: Keep it short. Ask for permission. Use regular language. Talk about B.C. and A.C. Keep it about Christ.

  15. GOOD QUESTIONS FOR CONVERSATIONS • So, do you have any kind of spiritual belief? • What’s been your personal history when it comes to faith and God? • What particular challenge are you facing in life right now? May I pray for you about them? • Any particular joys you are experiencing in this season of life?
