  1. 2009-10 Soccer Rules Clinic Welcome to the UHSAA Soccer Rules Clinic In order for this presentation to work properly please start the slide show. This is done by selecting the “Slide Show” option from the menu at the top of the screen and then selecting the “View Show” option from the drop down menu that will appear. You should hear sound with the slides following this one, if you don’t, check the volume on your computer and make sure the slide show is running.   3. Keep your players healthy! If a player doesn’t get treatment for an illness or injury, how will that affect the success of your program? • If you are aware of student athletes that do not have health insurance, please inform them about CHIP – Utah’s Children’s Health Insurance Program – to see if it can help them.

CHIP benefits include: Well child exams Immunizations Doctor visits Hospital & emergency care Prescriptions Hearing & eye exams Mental health services Dental care CHIP provides health insurance for children up to age 19 for families who qualify.   5. 2009-10 Soccer Rules Clinic • Rules Tests for Referees • Part 1 to be done on-line by September 7 Link to the NFHS Testing Site • Part 2 (to qualify for post season) must be requested. Tests will be mailed on September 8 to those who have requested it. To request a Part 2 test fill in and submit the form accessed through this link: Link to Part 2 Request Form

Review of UHSAA rules Try-out checklist prior to try-out www.uhsaa.org Transfers A transfer of eligibility application is required unless Full family move verified by school First entry without previous establishment of eligibility Practice without eligibility (transfer situation) May practice pending determination by UHSAA Precludes eligibility at former or any other school Dead Time 4 weeks after championship and 8 weeks beginning Dec. 1 Limited Team Membership May not play on outside team during season 2009-10 Soccer Rules Clinic
