  4. Preparation task 2 – P2, M1 Aim: to describe the role of legislation (P2) and explain how it promotes the provision of services to children with ‘Additional Needs’.(M1)

  5. Explain how it promotes the provision of the service (M1) • i.e. by having the legislation practiced in the setting • How could you see it working ‘day to day’? • How might it be beneficial to the school? - training/experts/Ofsted - choice

  6. Think about …….. • What kind of provision/settings? • Resources? • Staff? • Parents? • Standards? • Inclusion? • Access?

  7. To achieve the M1 add a paragraph to each piece of legislation explaining how the legislation promotes the provision of the setting • Take information from that and use ‘different’ examples to highlight how the legislation is used and makes the setting work to a higher standard and meets the needs of the children – more thought needed!!!!
