  2. Materials You Will Need Pencils Tape Water Paper Towel Pinto Beans Container

  3. Procedure!!! Step 1!: Surround the container with paper towels and wet the paper towel so it is moist. Step 2!: Plant the beans along the side of the container on top of the paper towel and wrap the bean in it. Step 3!: Tape the pencils to the sides of the container near where most the beans are. Step 4!: Keep track of the bean’s growth. Whenever the beans pop out a sprout, release them from the paper towel. TIP!!!: Put the container in pure darkness. The plant actually grows faster!

  5. Results! Results: For this experiment, the results were very interesting. The one bean that reached the limit of the container soon began to wrap around one of the pencils that was taped to the container. Soon, that one pencil was wrapped in the sprout of a bean.
