  1. Mobility Aids

  2. Walking Stick • A walking stick will give the user the support and balance that they need to go out and about by themselves. For example, going to the shop easily with no help will give them a boost in their confidence. Feeling more confident will make the user want to go on more walks other than the shop and enjoy life more than they did before, without feeling scared to go out for a long period of time. This will then help them maintain their mobility for longer and remain at their home. Using a walking stick will prevent joints seizing up and laziness.

  3. Zimmer Frame • A Zimmer Frame will encourage the user to have their own independence and give them a boost in their confidence. A Zimmer Frame is mainly used to help service users that are unsteady on their feet. Using a Zimmer Frame will give the user more stability to move around freely with out help. Having more stability will give the user the freedom to go to the shop or go for a little walk in the park and enjoy their life. When the user is using the Zimmer Frame then they are preventing or postpone deformities that they are likely to get if immobile. The user will have control of their own lives and will be able to stay in their own home.

  4. Tripod • A Tripod is mostly used by service users that have had a stroke or who may have weakness or paralysis on one side. The tripod provides support and encourages independence. Having support and independence will mean that the user will need less help with caring and they will have control over their own lives. Which will give them more confidence within themselves and help them enjoy their lives better. The tripod will help with health problems, laziness and low self-esteem that people might get if they were immobile and unable to use a tripod.
