  3. 1/21/11 Biology… Bellwork • Take out your graph for “Why are Plants Green?” • Looking at your graph: • 1) what wavelengths of visible light are absorbed best by chlorophyll A? ____chlorophyll B?__ • 2) what colors of visible light are absorbed best by chlorophyll A? ____chlorophyll B?__ • 3) based on this data, do plants absorb green light? • 4) Assuming light is energy (Monday’s topic), which colors of light provide the most energy to plants? • Experimental set –up. Take out a sheet of paper. Design an experiment to test whether plants grow better under green light or white light.
