  3. Culmination Requirementsfor 8th Grade • Pass 10 out of 12 classes (no more than 2 FAILS) • In the Spring semester, no more than 2 U’s in Work Habits and no more than 2 U’s in Cooperation INCLUDING HOMEROOM

  4. Culmination requirements,continued . . . Have no outstanding library or textbook fines or any unserved detentions. Have no more than 10 full days absences over the course of the school year. Have no more than 10 UNEXCUSED tardies over the course of the school year.

  5. 8th Grade CULMINATION SPRING 5-week 10-week 15-week 18-week - Culmination 20-week FALL 5-week 10-week 15-week 20-week All students will be required to meet specific academic and citizenship marks in order to participate in any school based event 8th Grade Culmination at Pali High, May 30th, 2013

  6. TIPS FOR 8TH GRADE • If you are struggling in your academics, ask for help. • Unorganized?? Use your FREE student planner. • Be prepared when you enter the classroom. • Make good decisions. • Tutoring will start on September 4th; late buses will be provided starting in September.

  7. IF YOU’RE ABSENT… • YOU MUST HAVE A SIGNED NOTE FROM EITHER A DOCTOR AND/OR PARENT(S) EXPLAINING THE REASON FOR ABSENCE & BRING THAT NOTE TO THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE. • IF YOU TAKE MEDICATIONS, THE NURSE MUST BE NOTIFIED.

  8. PHOTO DAY (in PE class) • Thursday, August 29th, 2012

  9. LUNCH CLUBS • Sign-ups will be during lunch on September 13th. More information regarding lunch clubs will be forthcoming.

  10. Library Conduct • Library Hours: • Open at 7:30 am • Closed at 3:30 pm • During class time you must have a pass from your teacher! • Library rules will be posted at the door • Ms. Mills is looking forward to seeing you!

  11. BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT • BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT IS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH. • STUDENTS MUST STAY HOME!!

  16. PICK UP AND DROP OFF If you are dropped off in the horseshoe driveway in front of the school, please have your driver pull up to the curb. We want to make sure you’re safe! If you are picked up after school along the west driveway, please do not park in the bus loading zone (marked by cones).
