  3. Merche’s neighbor brought you two pastries, una palmera and un croissant. Find one picture of each.

  4. Instead of eating the palmera and croissant, Merche opted to take you out to a café. This is a real café in Madrid called el Café de Oriente. Write down the complete address of the café:

  5. Use Google Maps to find el Café de Oriente. What is the name of the main street to the west of the café? What is the name of the cathedral that lies just to the southwest of the café?

Find the café’s website and take a screen shot of the homepage. • Screen Shot Directions: • Go to the website. • From the main Programs menu on the computer, select Accessories. • Select Snipping Tool – this will allow you to copy the image on the screen. • Paste the image onto this slide. • *Make sure you get the name of the café in the picture.

  7. Do you remember the four drink options you had at the café? Create a simple menu below listing the four drinks in Spanish and (create) their prices in Euros (€). *Be sure that the prices are equivalent to what we would pay in dollars.

  8. El Café de Oriente is directly across from one of the most popular tourist destinations in Madrid. Here is a picture of it: What is this famous landmark?

  9. Find another picture of the landmark from the previous slide. *This picture should be at night.

  10. Find one more picture of the same landmark. *This picture should show the gardens.
