  3. Summary • During the Sep00 Interim Meeting in Scottsdale, AZ USA we summarized the then Marketing Plan and outgoing Action Items • This is an update for the MC Chair Ian Gifford, M/A-COM, Inc.

  6. No WHAT WHO WHEN 1 Bluetooth SIGnal Newsletter: The schedule for future IEEE column inserts is on hold. Action Item: MC to advise on status.   7. 5 “IEEE 802.15.1 Handbook, A Designer’s Companion”. This collateral is still in author/publisher review Action Item: Author’s to advise on manuscript & contract status. Gifford/Siep Mar 2001 6 Question: IEEE testing to ensure compatibility? Reply: No, but Bluetooth is licensing third party companies to conduct these tests. Question: What about putting the IEEE logo on products? Reply: In the past the IEEE's logo hasn't been allowed on products. Comment: Bluetooth testing also includes profiles which are above the MAC layer. Action Item: MC to investigate this further and clarify the question. Gifford Nov00 7 MC chair talked to the status on the WPAN trademark and URL effort IEEE has registered 802.15. The Doc Master is Markus Plessel, Standards Marketing Administrator, +1 732 562 3989, m.plessel@ieee.orgAction Item: Identify how to manage i.e., meaning “push” from 802.11/802.15 to this new IEEE-SA Web MARCOM Resource. Gifford Done 10 The Acting Chair suggests that the single Joint MC Session be merged and that the 802.15 MC Chair consider adding a second timeslot on Monday for 802.15 preparatory work.
