  2. Botswana Botswana is a beautiful country. It has a wide range of natural habitats and thus enormous wildlife diversity…

  3. Dust storms Dune mobilisation Ecological changes as grasslands are replaced by woody shrubs … but Kalahari Sands cover nearly 80% of the country and most of the land is very dry Most people in rural areas rely on pastoralism to make a living - which can be tough when rainfall is low and unreliable The countryside is also affected by various degradation processes…

  4. Tsabong is a dry and dusty corner of the Kalahari in Botswana A high proportion of the people who live there are affected by HIV and AIDS

  5. Many families live in traditional mud and dung houses that can fall into disrepair without constant maintenance

  6. Mixing dung and water to make the walls of the houses

  7. Collecting wood for the supports for the houses

  8. Maintaining traditional houses is hard work and requires lots of labour

  9. If a family member gets sick with HIV / AIDS then it becomes very hard to keep up the repairs on the houses and they fall into disrepair

  10. We are raising money to help with the repairs to traditional houses

  11. which greatly improves the lives of the families

  12. For just £2000 we can build a new brick, two room house that will last a long time and need minimal maintenance
