  2. The Experiment • Goal is to make spin-imbalanced Fermi gas of 6Li in one dimension. • Atoms have to be in the quantum degenerate regime, so their temperature must be very low.

  3. Coil Forms • -Used in the magnetic trap step, the coil forms are shaped to hold the wire into two circular and one cloverleaf coil. • -There is one set of three coil forms on either side of the MOT. The two sets work together to create a trap. • -Power dissipated ranges from 225W to 4.4kW in each coil.
