  1. Word Parts Greek and Latin root words make-up a significant part of the words in English, so we will learn them, and be able to identifying and understand more complicated vocabulary

Rules • Copy the following five entries into the new word part section of your binder and leave at least ten lines between each entry. • When you have copied them, get a dictionary and look up more examples of words using these word parts. • Then copy the five most challenging words you find and the meaning of each. It will be most helpful to find words that clearly incorporate the meaning of the word part. • Finally, as homework, write one sentence for each of the words you defined. • This work will be your ticket to the test in four weeks. • You will receive approximately five new entries each week. When we have twenty word parts, we will test on those. • I have done all of the work for the first entry for you to model what you should do with the others.
