WindLDR Version 5.0 • Supports FC5A Pentra series • Simulation mode (OpenNet, FC4A, and FC5A) • Online Edit mode (FC4A and FC5A) • Monitor mode • Improved Throughput monitoring • Shortcuts • Custom Monitor & Instruction Monitor dialog boxes • Support HG3F/4F Ethernet Pass-Through • Project Window • Verify dialog box • New shortcuts

Simulation Mode • Programs don’t have to be downloaded to be tested (download time is no longer needed). • Wiring to inputs is unnecessary to test program inputs. • Additional software package or installation is unnecessary.Just select Simulation from Online menu or click on button. Power to the Simulator Instructions are highlighted in green to differentiate from Monitor or Online Edit mode. CPU module LEDs are shown in the status bar. PWR: Power LED RUN: Run LED ERR: Error LED STAT: Status LED

Online Edit Mode (FC4A) • Programs can be edited without stopping the PLC. • Up to 600 bytes of a program can be modified at a time. • To start Online Edit mode, open the program in the PLC, then select Online Edit from Online menu or click on button. • Double-clicking on an instruction will open the edit instruction dialog box. To modify operand values, press Ctrl-key, and then double click on an instruction. Tool bar icons for editing are available. After modifying program select Partial ProgramDownload from the menu. Instructions are highlighted in aqua to differentiate from Monitor or Simulation mode.

  5. Online Edit Mode (FC5A Pentra) • Programs can be edited without stopping the PLC. • No size limitation to modify programs. • To download a program, select Run-time Program Download from Online menu. • Test Download function has been added. Test programs can be downloaded to the PLC, tested, then either saved or discarded. Download Test Program: Download a test program to the PLC. Confirm Test Program: Save the test program. Cancel Test Program: Discard the test program. After modifying program, select Run-Time Program Download from the menu.

Monitor Mode • Communication Throughput for monitoring has been improved. • Monitored values are updated faster than with version 4.x. • Custom Monitor and Instruction Monitor dialog boxes have been added.(These dialog boxes will be shown in the following slides) • Shortcuts • Double click or press Enter on an instruction. • Normally Open, Normally Closed, OUT, OUTN, SET, or RST: Toggle the operand. • Other instructions: Open Instruction Monitor dialog box. • Right Click menu • Import operands in selected area to Custom Monitor dialog box. • Start PLC, Stop PLC, Clear Error, or Clear All Data.

  7. Custom Monitor Dialog Box 1 • Custom Monitor dialog box. • Up to 30 operands can be registered in a dialog box. • Custom Monitor dialogs can be saved with any name. Dialogs can then be opened as needed. Saved custom monitor dialogs are listed under Custom Monitors folder in Project Window. To open a dialog, double click on it.

  8. Custom Monitor Dialog Box 2 • Register operands with Drag & Drop. (1) Select instructions or rungs. (2) Press Ctrl-key. (3) Left click on selected area, and drag mouse cursor onto Custom Monitor dialog. (4) Release mouse button. (5) All operands in selected area will be registered to the Custom Monitor dialog.

Custom Monitor Dialog Box 3 • Shortcuts • Cut, Copy, and Paste are supported. • Incremental Copy (Ctrl+Q).Copy the current row, insert copied row into the following row, and increment the operand (in the copied row) by 1. • Insert/Delete Row • Delete AllDelete all the registered operands in the dialog. • SortRegistered operands can be sorted in alphabetical order. • Up/down button for Incrementing operands.Shortcuts “+” and “-” also work.

  10. Instruction Monitor Dialog Box • The monitor dialog box doesn’t have to be opened to input operands to change the values used in instructions. • Simply double-click on an instruction or Press Enter on the instruction then the instruction monitor dialog box will appear.

  11. HG3F/4F Ethernet Pass-Through • Using an HG3F/4F allows IDEC PLCs to be connected to the Ethernet without additional cost. • Download • Upload • Debug • Monitor PC • WindO/I NV2 • WindLDR • WindSRV Router Ethernet Router OpenNet, FC4A, or FC5A Pass-Through (Ethernet to Serial) HG3F/HG4F

  12. Project Window • Custom monitor dialog boxes are shown in a list. • All instructions available with selected PLC are listed. The list of custom monitor dialog boxes are shown in Project Window. The list of instructions available with selected PLC are shown.

  13. Program Verify • Programs can be edited by opening the Verify dialog box. • When clicking the Re-verify button, WindLDR verifies the current program and the previously uploaded program.Programs don’t have to be individually uploaded to be compared.

Shortcuts • Shift + M: Show/Hide Mnemonics • Shift + R: Select current rung • Shift + I: Open Invert NO/NC contacts dialog box • Shift + T: Switch Show tag names and Show allocation numbers • F4: Show/Hide Project Window • F5: Simulation • F7: Online Edit • F8: Monitor • Ctrl + F9: Convert, Download, and Monitor • F12: Partial Program Download (FC4A) • Menu: Start PLC, Stop PLC, Clear Error, and Clear All Data
