Rock and Roll “rock and roll here to stay…” Rock and roll, like baseball, was to become a mirror of our society and a catalyst for social and cultural changes especially among the races….and the newly emerging babyboomer teenagers. It’s messages were powerful; freedom, invidualism, energy…and sexualtity.

    4. Film Icons: Rebel without a Cause Brando and James Dean became THE film icons of the generation. As the Eagles tribute song to Dean said: “Too fast to live…too young to die…”

    5. Blondes have more fun…. The image of a married woman showing her legs in this photo is controversial…and symbolic of the coming of the women’s challenge to traditional constraints on their freedom….
