  3. What is a Program of Work? • A plan of action for the activities and projects your chapter will complete during the school year • Develop your program of work at the beginning of the year with your FCCLA leadership team • It can be your road map to navigate your chapter to success!

  4. Example of a Program of Work • Variety of activities planned throughout the year • Incorporates: • Membership campaign & member recognition • National Program activities • Competitive Events • Fundraisers • Local, state, and national conferences and events

  5. Develop a Program of Work • Your table will receive 2 cards: • Holiday • FCCLA National Program • Develop an FCCLA chapter activity for your national program that could be done during that holiday season

  6. Implementing Program of Work • FCCLA Planning Process Identify Concerns Set a Goal Form a Plan Act Follow Up

  7. The Handbook to Ultimate Leadership • FCCLA Project Contract • Use at beginning of projects • FCCLA Activity Planning Sheet • Use as part of Planning Process; track project progress; stay informed of students’ needs

  8. Managing Chapter Projects • Select a theme for the year and have all projects/activities relate to the theme • Have a committee chair for each project • Support chapter leaders in project coordination and assist in distributing chapter members’ responsibilities

  9. Managing Chapter Projects • Encourage chapter members to incorporate activities into national programs and/or STAR Events • Submit National Project Award Applications by March 1 • Find information and applications on national website

  10. Navigating Your Chapter Activities • List 3 activities your chapter is planning for this year • Beside each sign, describe how national programs and/or competitive events could be incorporated into each activity
