Expectations of Students “He who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; he who does not ask a question remains a fool forever.” – Chinese Proverb • Show up to class on time • Be seated when the tardy bell rings • Have all materials ready when class starts • Have all homework assignments completed before coming to class • Ask questions when you have them

  3. What Will You Learn? How to Write Functions Graphing Lines and Quadratics Different Methods for Factoring Polynomials Polynomial Long Division and Synthetic Division Quadratic Formula Trigonometric Functions Pythagorean Theorem Definition of Rational and Irrational Numbers

  4. Materials You Will Need • Pencils • Scientific Calculator • Notebook • Graphing Paper • Colored Pencils • Willingness to Learn

  5. Grading Students will be graded on a number of items. There will be daily homework assignments. We will have bi-weekly quizzes. At the end of each chapter we will have an exam. Also, at the end of each semester there will be an extra credit assignment given. • Grading Scale • 100-90 A • 89-80 B • 79-70 C • 69-60 D • Below 60 F
