FRAMEWORK OF APEGS CBA The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (Canada) Competency- Based assessment helps judge the competency of an engineer before they get a licence to practice engineering in the country. It is a transparent and efficient way of assessment that came into operation after the May 2018 Annual Meeting of the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC). From the 1st of January 2019, the EGBA adopted the APEGS CBA system for a professional engineer applicants. The analysis is valid for all national and foreign engineers-in-training applicants. The pre-requisites for appearing for the APEGS Assessment in Canada include 4 years of experience as engineers-in-training (including a minimum of one year in Canada or a different geographical area whose environment is like Canada, and up to one year of pre- graduation experience.   2. Competency-Based Assessment framework: There are seven categories competencies or skills under the CBA framework.
