  4. Safety in the Food Room Listen to all instructions and carry them out No Running Care with sharp knives and scissors Wipe up spills immediately Saucepan handles out No water near electricity No Throwing Always wear oven gloves No Flicking Tea Towels

Hygiene rules • Tie hair back • Roll sleeves up • Jumpers and blazers off • Aprons on • Hands washed • Plastic bags off worktops • Correct chopping boards • Food in fridge • Care when sneezing and coughing • Wash and dry up carefully • NO eating, drinking or GUM • Throw all rubbish in the bin • Keep cooked meat away from raw meat.

  7. Emergency • Tell the teacher • Lid on saucepan • Fire blanket • Fire extinguisher • Fire alarm • Evacuate room

  8. Remember Be safe and hygienic at all times!
