Individual School Goals • SSELC • Review of data to improve reading and math achievement • Increase parent involvement in the educational process • Increase technology use and parent understanding of technology • Improved transitioning • WAEC • Continued improvement in student achievement • Tutors scheduled during the school day • Successmaker software for reading and math • Flexible reading and math groups • Corrective reading in Language Arts • BWMS • Continue and increase Cross-Curricular Lessons • Creating Effective Advisory Lessons based on Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens • Increase Communication among staff, families and students. • Continue to analyze data from the 4Sights and PSSA and work within grade level teams to create effective lessons. • WAHS • Improving PSSA Scores • Improving Student Morale • Dropout Prevention • Parent and Community Involvement

Academic Interventions • Tutoring program – 9724 hours of tutoring • All schools had tutoring during the day • After school programs at SSELC and WAEC • SM / SME – Math and Language Arts tutorial • Read 180 • 4Sights • Nova Net, Accellus – Credit recovery programs • Transition Support – among buildings

Behavioral Interventions • SAP – Teams have been trained in K-12 • 180 students • School Based Behavioral Health • Teams housed at WAEC and BWMS • Team of 2 Masters level Behavioral specialists and 5 Bachelors level professionals • Served 25 children and families (their max enrollment) • Commitment to Positive Behavioral Support • Three administrators traveled to multiple trainings to prepare • Three buildings prepare staff and designing CAA roles to create WCSD pilot program.

  5. Curriculum and Technology • New Science materials based on hands on approach to learning • SM and SME licenses • Tech grants awarded to 20 classrooms • SMART Boards in all science classrooms • Informational nights where parents learn instructional strategies to use at home

  6. Communication • Parents involved in all aspects of school. • Open House / Meet the Teacher / Ice Cream Socials • Packed concerts and holiday events. • Call Blast System for announcements and attendance • Parent meetings • 314@SSELC, 827@WAEC, 670 @BWMS, 350@WAHS • Title I makes many programs possible • Game nights • Sessions on understanding test scores • Author Bruce Van Patten visited and worked with students in K-5.
