  2. Social network sites. Advantages: you can talk to all your friends while you are at home. Your family and friends can see pictures you put up on the site. You can tell friends what you are doing. Disadvantages: you can get random friend request of strangers. People can give you abuse or blackmail. Some social network sites can carry viruses. Charlie beeney

  3. phones With mobile phones you can talk to or text friends when you are at home or out and about. With some of the new generation phones you can download applications and games to play When our your not at home you can also download games that you can connect with friends When they are in different places. Charlie beeney

  4. YouTube When your on YouTube you can watch videos or upload videos of other people. When on it you can watch pod casts, music video, game reviews or just funny videos of people making fools of themselves. Charlie beeney

  5. Computers and tablets Computers and tablets can be sources for information. you can use them to play games chat with friends or just browse the internet to buy things (e.g. clothing, cars etc.). The tablet was made as a portable computer so you can still browse the internet when your on a long car ride or travelling on a bus. They are also made so they can fit in handbags or backpacks.   6. Game consoles Game consoles where made for the entertainment of teenagers or younger children. On game consoles you can play solo campaign or online. Games have a solo campaign option so you can get lost in a fantasy world or pretend to be a soldier on the frontline. When your on the online option you can play game modes with other players around the world or just with friends. Charlie beeney

  7. cameras Cameras where made for take pictures for memories or for serious photographers. Cameras can very in a range of sizes and and capabilities. A camera that was made just for fun use normally only has a flash, zoom and a shoot button. But more professional cameras can have all the features of a normal camera and more like lighting, face recognition and different colour modes. On some professional cameras you can also change the lens. Charlie beeney

  8. Satnav Satnav’s where made to make car travel easier so you don't get lost. It gives you the directions visually and auditory. Sometimes they need updating if there has been a new road been layed. They tell you when you have reached your destination and also if you have made a wrong turn. Charlie beeney

Instant messenger Instant messenger was designed so when you on software like msn or Skype if you message someone it will get to them as soon as you press send so there is no lag between sending messages. This is good if you need to send an urgent message to someone and they will see it as soon as they log on. Charlie beeney

  10. IPod IPods where designed to listen to music when your walking around or on your bike. They also have various other features such as video, camera and also can have games on it. They can hold thousands of songs and you can transport them onto computers. Charlie beeney
