    2. The scientific investigations of Odesa National University are concentrated in 28 scientific subdivisions, among which – scientific-research institute "Astronomic observatory", scientific-research institute of physics, institute of combustion and non-traditional technologies, 8 scientific-research centers, 14 basic-research and applied-research scientific laboratories. The main scientific achievements of the University are in such priority areas as environmental protection, energy conservation, the newest biotechnologies, the new materials and substances, etc. Now we shall present some of our scientific elaborations

MICROBIOLOGICAL TECHNOLOGY OF DEEP CLEANING OF OIL WASTE WATERS The means of cleaning industrial-drainage waste waters from emulgated of hydrocarbons employs the use of Pseudomonas fluorescens bacteria - destructors immobilized on a complex biologically-active carrier of original composition. The cleaning of waste waters occurs in a bioreactor "Mikos" or on filters after mechanical or physical-chemical treatment. A biotechnology has been created which is ecologically and economically feasible and close to natural processes which provides for: reducing the amount of emulgated oil products in treated water up to analytical zero; cleaning the water from other organic bioresistents of pollution (surfactants, phenols, etc.); improving the water quality of waste water according to sanitary-hygienic indices which excludes additional microbe pollution of the natural water bodies. Treated water is suited biologically for discharging it into natural water bodies for repeated use.

    4. MICROELECTRONIC GAS SENSORS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING The sensors are intended for monitoring gas medium composition (carbon compounds, hydrogen, nitrogen, moisture and other gases) in different kinds of industry and an environment. The sensors allow to register gas concentration in emissive gases with a large degree of selectivity, stability and with a small response time (3-6 s), have a high sensitivity (for example, the restoration period for CO - 10 ppm is no more than 6 s). Units are easily adjusted with a computer. Economic advantages of the sensor are based on use for its manufacturing mainly resources of Ukraine, group methods of microelectronics, absence of precious materials, low labour input.

    5. TECHNIQUE OF INCREASING OF ECOLOGICAL SAFETY OF MOTOR TRANSPORT Motor transport makes the greatest contribution to the air contamination, in particular the vehicles that have a long exploitation term, that is explained by wearing of engine components and fuel system. The technique of restoring of worn details is designed by drawing wear-resistant composition platings. The coverage contains the components which prevent tacking details. The comparative analysis displays, that the technique of restoring of details has a series of advantages over analogues, since it restores the detail geometry, but gives it new anticorrosive and abrasion resistant properties which considerably increase the operation term. The economic effectiveness of the technique is based on the smaller cost of details' restoring compared with the production of the new ones. Besides it provides engine reliability, power and long operation term, considerably decrease the fuel consumption and atmosphere pollution.

    6. PROBIOTIC PREPARATION ON THE BASIS LACTOBACILLUS ACIDOPHILUS OL4 STRAIN Dry concentrate Lactobacillus acidophilus OL4 strain for manufacture dairy product of the preventive assigning. The basic characteristics : the total quantity of lactobacteria in 1 gram - 2,0x109 CFU, the level of humidity - 3,0 %, the index of dissolubility - 0,5 ? 0,2 ml of raw sediment, the speed of acidoformation - 12,6 ? 1,4 0?/h, the acidity of a clot – 100 ? 4 0?. The dry bacterial concentrate L. acidophilus OL4 has more intensive antagonistic activity and polyresistance to antibiotic drugs used in medical practice than some other industrial Lactobacillus products. The elaboration can be realized at the enterprises for manufacture bacterial and virus drugs.
