  1. David Marchant Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a serious mental illness that affects 1% of the population. People with BPD experience extreme emotional symptoms, including unstable moods, intense anger, and recurrent suicidal thoughts. If you find yourself struggling with any of these symptoms, it’s important to get help. Here are 10 signs that may suggest you have BPD: 1. You have an impulsive nature and struggle to control your impulses. 2. You have difficulty experiencing and expressing emotions accurately. 3. You have a very strong need for love and approval and find it difficult to trust others. 4. You feel overwhelmed by negative emotions and experiences a high level of stress all the time. 5. You feel like you’re constantly on the verge of being torn apart emotionally. 6. You find it hard to focus on anything for long periods of time and often lose track of what’s happening around you. 7. You have problems with self-image and feel unworthy of love and happiness. 8. You have recurring suicidal thoughts or attempts. 9. You impulsively make decisions that can impact your life negatively. 10. People with BPD often have a difficult time maintaining healthy relationships and may be prone to intense emotional outbursts. They may also find it difficult to imagine or cope with the idea of being alone or having negative thoughts about themselves. People with BPD often have a history of chaotic and unstable personal relationships. They may be unable to regulate their emotions, which can lead to arguments and hurt feelings. They may also become attached quickly to new friends or romantic partners, only to abandon them later on. People with BPD are also often extremely impulsive, making rash decisions that can damage their relationships and careers.
