  2. What is Angelus Prayer? • Angelus prayer is one of the devotion that is prayed at 6am, 12noon and 6pm. • Angelus prayer is a prayer that makes us closer to Mother Mary and also remind us about Jesus’ life. And also it tells about Mother Mary’s life.

  3. History of Angelus Prayer • The name “Angelus” was from Angelus Domini nuntiavitMariæ which means The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. Long ago, people do Angelus prayer in the Roman Churches before the Angelus was spread throughout the world.

  4. Purpose of Angelus Prayer • The purpose of Angelus prayer is to remind us of the journey of Mother Mary and Jesus during their time. Also it makes us closer to Mother Mary.

  5. How to do Angelus Prayer? • Angelus prayer don’t need equipment. Except for the ones who didn’t memorize the prayer, they will need a book or something to read to pray the Angelus Prayer.

  6. How to do Angelus PrayerP: Priest PP: People P: The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary PP: As she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary… P: Behold the handmaid of the Lord PP: Be it done unto me according to Thy word. Hail Mary… P: And the Word was made Flesh PP: And dwelt among us Hail Mary…. P: Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Pour forth, we bessech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord.

  7. Conclusion • I think the devotion is important because we can get closer to Mother Mary. Also we can remember the journey of Mother Mary and Jesus. By praying the Angelus Prayer we can get closer to God and also Mother Mary.
