  1. PHASE TEST CNC • See board • The essential difference is the FEEDBACK Loop for comparing the desired output with the actual output. If a discrepancy occurs, an error signal will be generated to correct the output

  2. Post-processing: Because of cost considerations, CAPP & CAM software produces generic CNC output. This output has to be converted (Post processed) into a format suitable for the particular CNC controller being used.

  3. The part of the software that converts all the cutter path coordinates data to a specific CNC machine control.

  4. i) Saves duplicating co-ordinates. • ii) Shortens the length of the program. • iii) Saves computer memory. Reduce program length • Able to edit only one line if required

  5. Direct Numerical Control Computer Aided manufacture Computer Aided Design

  6. Dry run, tool-path graphics, machine 'soft" material and any other suitable method • See board

  7. The start up procedure must include – • Turn the main isolator on. • Turn the screen on. Machine co-ordinates are visible. • Using the jog mode, jog all axes away from machine datum position. • Press the home button, press the axis buttons. • Check the machine co-ordinates are showing zero on all axes.

  8. Drum • Egg Box • Carousal • Turret • A continuous movement allows co-ordinated simultaneous motion in two or more axes
