WorldWideWhiteboard™ Communication Modes • Live Communication ModeThe WorldWideWhiteboard™ offers several real-time modes, including: • Tutorial Mode: A one-on-one, interactive session, where all participants may watch, but only one user at a time may interact with the leader. • Classroom Mode: A multi-user, leader-led session, where a single leader is designated, and has the capacity to control the dialog, switching of the whiteboard, enabling/disabling write/audio/video access, polling, answering the hand-raising, and more • Chat Mode: A multi-user session, leader-less session, where everyone can participate in a peer-to-peer chat as equals.

WorldWideWhiteboard™ Communication Modes • Asynchronous Communication ModeThe WorldWideWhiteboard™ offers several offline modes, including: • Submission mode: Allows users to student submit postings offline, then allows the leader (or other users) to respond. The users can then go back later to retrieve the response. The SDK can be configured to automatically notify the users that their question has been answered. • Threaded-posting mode: Users may “post” whiteboards for review and comment by other users. Multiple re-posts of a message are shown as “threaded” listings of entries.

  12. WorldWideWhiteboard™ Communication Modes • Static Communication ModeVirtually every WorldWideWhiteboard™ session may be saved or archived during a session. These archives may be “post-processed,” that is, edited or refined for later viewing. This includes spell checking, formatting, and better organizing the original submission. Users can be granted access in any directory structure that one chooses.

This allows the integrator to develop a look and feel consistent with the desired web-based appearance, as well as reinforce the message that access to WorldWideWhiteboard™ is a value-added service that is being offered by our customers. • The WorldWideWhiteboard™ was developed to be fully integrated into the World Wide Web, and can be embedded into any browser-based applications.. The WorldWideWhiteboard™ is fully supported by all of the modern internet browsers. Third party users, providing they are using current versions of popular internet browsers, have easy and seamless access to the WorldWideWhiteboard™.

  16. Overview of WorldWideWhiteboard™ SDK • User List MaintenanceThe user list displays user names in the color assigned to them, along with the status of their Chat or Write capability. You may also select the user(s) in which you would like to private message with. The user list contains information about who the current users in the Live Chat Room are, and provides some functions for the students and leaders of the session. Some buttons are available for the leader that are not available for the regular members of the session. : • Dismiss User • Private Chat • Mark All Users • Question Polling • Virtual Hand-raising
