  1. Revelation

  2. “This is the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 1:1 – GOD’S WORD) • “Christ made these things known to his servant John by sending his angel to him, and John has told all that he has seen. This is his report concerning the message from God and the truth revealed by Jesus Christ. (Revelation 1:1-2 – GN)

  3. God’s wrath • “If you’ve seen me you’ve seen the Father.” (John 14:9) • “My anger will flame up like fire and burn everything on earth. It will reach to the world below and consume the roots of the mountains. I will bring on them endless disasters and use all my arrows against them.” (Deuteronomy 32:22,23 – GN) • “They fail to see why they were defeated; they cannot understand what happened. Why were a thousand defeated by one, and ten thousand by only two? The Lord, their God, had abandoned them; their mighty God had given them up.” (Deuteronomy 32:29,30 – GN) • “When that happens, I will become angry with them; I will abandon them, and they will be destroyed. Many terrible disasters will come upon them, and then they will realize that these things are happening to them because I, their God, am no longer with them.” (Deuteronomy 31:17 – GN)

  4. “Go and pour out the seven bowls of God’s anger on the earth.” (Revelation 16:1 – GN)

  5. “I was shown that the judgments of God would not come directly out from the Lord upon them, but in this way: They place themselves beyond His protection. He warns, corrects, reproves, and points out the only path of safety; then if those who have been the objects of His special care will follow their own course independent of the Spirit of God, after repeated warnings, if they choose their own way, then He does not commission His angels to prevent Satan's decided attacks upon them. It is Satan's power that is at work at sea and on land, bringing calamity and distress, and sweeping off multitudes to make sure of his prey. And storm and tempest both by sea and land will be, for Satan has come down in great wrath. He is at work. He knows his time is short and, if he is not restrained, we shall see more terrible manifestations of his power than we have ever dreamed of.” {14MR 3.1}

  6. “The people of Israel are as stubborn as mules. How can I feed them like lambs in a meadow?” (Hosea 4:16 – GN)

  7. 7 Churches • 7 Seals • 7 Trumpets • The Angel and the little scroll • The two witnesses • The Great Controversy • In heaven • On earth • 3 Angels message • 7 bowls of God’s wrath • The famous prostitute • The fall of Babylon • The rider on the white horse • The thousand years • Final judgment and lake of fire • New heaven and new earth

  8. The sanctuary • 7 lighted torches around the throne and 4 living creatures covered with eyes • 2 olive trees • Locusts • “…the tail is the prophets whose teachings are lies.” (Isaiah 9:15 – GN) • Babylon • “The huge dragon was thrown our – that ancient serpent named the Devil, or Satan, that deceived the whole world.” (Revelation 12:9 – GN) • The “eternal message of Good News…”(Revelation 14:6 – GN)

  9. Hailstones • “Hailstorms will sweep away all the lies you depend on…each new message from God will bring new terror.” (Isaiah 28:17,19 – GN) • Merchants • “No one could buy or sell without this mark, that is, the beast’s name or the number that stands for the name.” (Revelation 13:17 – GN) • “In much buying and selling you turned violent, you sinned! I threw you, disgraced, off the mountain of God. I threw you out--you, the anointed angel-cherub. No more strolling among the gems of fire for you!” (Ezekiel 28:16 – The Message) • “The merchants of the earth also cry and mourn for her, because no one buys their goods any longer…” (Revelation 18:11 – GN) • Fire • “I came to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already kindled!” (Luke 12:49 – GN)

  10. “I saw heaven standing open. There was a white horse, and its rider is named Faithful and True. With integrity he judges and wages war. His eyes are flames of fire. On his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him, but only he knows what it is. He wears clothes dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven, wearing pure, white linen, follow him on white horses. A sharp sword comes out of his mouth to defeat the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter and tread the winepress of the fierce anger of God Almighty. On his clothes and his thigh he has a name written: King of kings and Lord of lords. I saw an angel standing in the sun. He cried out in a loud voice to all the birds flying overhead, ‘Come! Gather for the great banquet of God. Eat the flesh of kings, generals, warriors, horses and their riders, and all free people and slaves, both important or insignificant people.’

  11. “I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. The beast and the false prophet who had done miracles for the beast were captured. By these miracles the false prophet had deceived those who had the brand of the beast and worshiped its statue. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rider on the horse killed the rest with the sword that came out of his mouth. All the birds gorged themselves on the flesh of those who had been killed.” (Revelation 19:11-21 – GODS WORD)

  12. “Then I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire. I also saw those who had won the victory over the beast and its image and over the one whose name is represented by a number. They were standing by the sea of glass, holding harps that God had given them” (Revelation 15:2 – GN)

  13. 2 groups • Wheat and tares • Sheep and goats • God’s seal and the mark of the beast • Right hand and left hand • The bride and the prostitute • Saved and lost

  14. “I know what you have done; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were either one or the other! But because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am going to spit you out of my mouth! • emeō • You say, 'I am rich and well off; I have all I need.' But you do not know how miserable and pitiful you are! You are poor, naked, and blind. I advise you, then, to buy gold from me, pure gold, in order to be rich. • “…we seem to have nothing, yet we really possess everything.” (2 Corinthians 6:10 – GN) • Buy also white clothing to dress yourself and cover up your shameful nakedness. Buy also some ointment to put on your eyes, so that you may see.” (Revelation 3:15-19 – GN)

  15. “It used the vast authority of the first beast in its presence. It forced the earth and all who live on it to worship the first beast, whose wound had healed. This second beast performed great miracles; it made fire come down out of heaven to earth in the sight of everyone. And it deceived all the people living on earth by means of the miracles which it was allowed to perform in the presence of the first beast. The beast told them to build an image in honor of the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet lived.” (Revelation 13:12-14 – GN) • “Your merchants were the most powerful in all the world, and with you magic you deceived all the peoples of the world!” (Revelation 18:23 – GN)

  16. “The Wicked One will come with the power of Satan and perform all kinds of false miracles and wonders, and use every kind of wicked deceit on those who will perish. They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved. And so God sends the power of error to work in them so that they believe what is false.” (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 – GN)

  17. “Listen! I stand at the door and knock; if any hear my voice and open the door, I will come into their house and eat with them, and they will eat with me.” (Revelation 3:19 – GN)

  18. “The way in which Christ worked was to preach the Word, and to relieve suffering by miraculous works of healing. But I am instructed that we cannot now work in this way; for Satan will exercise his power by working miracles. God’s servants today could not work by means of miracles; because spurious works of healing, claiming to be divine, will be wrought. For this reason the Lord has marked out a way in which His people are to carry forward a work of physical healing, combined with the teaching of the Word…The truth must be proclaimed in the highways and the byways, and thus work is to be done by sensible, rational methods…We are to keep as far from the theatrical and the extraordinary as Christ kept in His work.” (LT 53, 1904)

  19. “The dragon was furious with the woman and went off to fight against the rest of her descendants, all those who obey God’s commandments and are faithful to the truth revealed by Jesus” (Revelation 12:17). • “I am a servant together with you and with other believers, all those who hold to the truth that Jesus revealed. Worship God! For the truth that Jesus revealed is what inspires the prophets” (Revelation 19:10). • “I also saw the souls of those who had been executed because they had proclaimed the truth that Jesus revealed and the word of God” (Revelation 20:4).

  20. “The angel said, ‘Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees, until we mark the servants of our God with a seal on their foreheads.’” (Revelation 7:3 – GN) • “And you also became God's people when you heard the true message, the Good News that brought you salvation. You believed in Christ, and God put his stamp of ownership on you by giving you the Holy Spirit he had promised.” (Ephesians 1:13 – GN) • “…signed, sealed and delivered by the Holy Spirit.” (The Message) • “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4:30 - Amplified)

  21. “The Helper will come – the Spirit, who reveals the truth about God.” (John 15:26 – GN) • “When the Spirit comes, who reveals the truth about God, he will lead you into all the truth.” (John 16:13 – GN) • “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will stay with you forever. He is the Spirit, who reveals the truth about God. The world cannot receive him, because it cannot see him or know him. But you know him, because he remains with you and is in you. (John 14:16-17 – GN) • “The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you.” (John 14:26 – GN)

  22. “…it is not any seal or mark that can be seen, but a settling into the truth, both intellectually and spiritually, so they cannot be moved…” (MS 173)

  23. “They won the victory over him because of the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. They didn't love their life so much that they refused to give it up.” (Revelation 12:11 – GOD’S WORD) • “I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been killed because they had proclaimed God’s word and had been faithful in their witnessing.” (Revelation 6:9 – GN)

  24. “Then I saw another angel flying high in the air, with an eternal message of Good News to announce to the peoples of the earth, to every race, tribe, language, and nation. He said in a loud voice, ‘Honor God and praise his greatness! For the time has come for him to judge all people. Worship him who made heaven, earth, sea, and the springs of water!’” (Revelation 14:6-7 – GN)

  25. “And this Good News about the Kingdom will be preached through all the world for a witness to all people; and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)

  26. “It is the darkness of misapprehension of God that is enshrouding the world. Men are losing their knowledge of His character. It has been misunderstood and misinterpreted. At this time a message from God is to be proclaimed, a message illuminating in its influence and saving in its power.

  27. His character is to be made known. Into the darkness of the world is to be shed the light of His glory, the light of His goodness, mercy and truth…The last rays of merciful light, the last message of mercy to be given to the world, is the revelation of His character of love.” (COL pg. 415)

  28. “Then news that comes from the east and the north will frighten him, and he will fight furiously, killing many people. He will even set up his huge royal tents between the sea and the mountain on which the Temple stands. But he will die, with no one there to help him.” (Daniel 11:44-45 – GN) • “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” (Daniel 12:4 – NKJV) • “…knowledge shall increase and become great.” (Amplified)

  30. “Nor does the Father himself judge anyone. He has given his Son the full right to judge…And he has given the Son the right to judge, because he is the Son of Man.” (John 5:22,27 – GN)

  31. “I am telling you the truth: those who hear my words and believe in him who sent me have eternal life. They will not be judged, but have already passed from death to life” (John 5:24 – GN)

  32. “If people hear my message and do not obey it, I will not judge them. I came, not to judge the world, but to save it. Those who reject me and do not accept my message have one who will judge them. The words I have spoken will be their judge on the last day!” (John 12:47-48 – GN)

  33. “Jesus said, ‘I came to this world to judge, so that the blind should see and those who see should become blind.’” (John 9:39 – GN)

  34. “And so, according to the Good News I preach, this is how it will be on that Day when God through Jesus Christ will judge the secret thoughts of all” (Romans 3:16). • “For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin first among God’s own children. And if even we Christians must be judged, what terrible fate awaits those who have never believed God’s Good News?” (1 Peter 4:17, NLT)

  35. “It is also right for God to give all of us relief from our suffering. He will do this when the Lord Jesus is revealed, [coming] from heaven with his mighty angels in a blazing fire. He will take revenge on those who refuse to acknowledge God and on those who refuse to respond to the Good News about our Lord Jesus. They will pay the penalty by being destroyed forever, by being separated from the Lord’s presence and from his glorious power. (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9, GOD’S WORD)

  36. “This is how the judgment works: the light has come into the world, but people love the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds are evil. Those who do evil things hate the light and will not come to the light, because they do not want their evil deeds to be shown up. But those who do what is true come to the light in order that the light may show that what they did was in obedience to God.” (John 3:19-21 – GN)

  37. “A second angel followed the first one, saying, ‘She has fallen! Great Babylon has fallen! She made all peoples drink her wine---the strong wine of her immoral lust!’” (Revelation 14:8 – GN)

  38. “Then a third angel followed them, shouting, ‘Anyone who worships the beast and his statue or who accepts his mark on the forehead or on the hand must drink the wine of God’s anger. It has been poured full strength into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb.’” (Revelation 14:9-10 – NLT)

  39. “The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: ‘Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?’ He who walks righteously and speaks what is right…” (Isaiah 33:14-15 – NIV)

  40. “As wax melts in front of the fire, so do the wicked perish in his presence. But the righteous are glad and rejoice in his presence; they are happy and shout for joy.” (Psalms 68:2 – GN)

  41. “They will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.” (Revelation 22:4 – GN)
