  1. Logging In for Students Summer Bootcamp August 1-2, 2018

  2. Today, we will practice logging into… • Canvas • Google Classroom • myON

  3. Why do we need to practice logging in? • Some of your teachers will require you to use these websites (Canvas, Google Classroom, myOn) • It will be helpful if you already know how to log in before the school year starts so we don’t have to spend valuable learning time

  4. If you already know how to log in… • Excellent!!! • You will be our experts and can help the other people in the classroom

  5. Trouble logging in? • If at any point you have trouble logging in, first, make sure to DOUBLE CHECKthat you typed your username and password correctly • If you are certain that you typed everything correctly, raise your hand and wait patiently for your teacher to assist you

  6. IMPORTANT It is important that you FOLLOW ALONG with your teacher

  8. Steps for logging in to Canvas: • Go to Google search and type sausd.instructure.com • Click Log In to Canvas- Instructure • Type your email: 6 digit id number • Type your password: First letter of first name, first letter of last name, month of birth, day of birth Example: Juan Garcia born on December 14th: jg1214 Example: Maria Flores born on February 8th: mf0208 5. Click Log In When you receive your personal Chromebook, save this page as a bookmark so you can easily access it throughout the year!

  9. Once you are logged in… • Raise your hand and wait for your teacher to check your screen • Help your neighbors if they are having trouble

  11. Steps for logging in to Google Classroom: • Go to Google Apps in the top right corner • Click on the Google Classroom icon • Type your email: 6 digit id number followed by @sausdlerns.net • Type your password: Your birthday __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ Month Day Year

  12. Once you are logged in… • Raise your hand and wait for your teacher to check your screen • Help your neighbors if they are having trouble

  13. Now we will practice joining your first class! • Click on the plus sign + • Click join class • Type in the code: _______

  15. Steps for logging in to myON: • Go to Google search and type myON • Click myON Login • Type your email: 6 digit id number • Type your password: the first letter of your name, the first letter of your last name, the month you were born and the day you were born Example: Juan Garcia born on December 8th would be …. jg1208 Example: Maria Lopez born on February 17th would be …. ml0217 5. Click Log In When you receive your personal Chromebook, save this page as a bookmark so you can easily access it throughout the year!

  16. myON Activity • Your teacher will number you off 1 through 4 • You will read your assigned book on myON • Once you are done reading, you will answer questions about your book on a Google form

  17. Read the book that corresponds to the number you were assigned: • Why Bed Bugs Bite • Why Feet Smell and Other Gross Facts • Why Rabbits Poop • Why Vampire Bats Suck Blood
