  2. What is the purpose of Inner City Science Centre? • “The Centre seeks to break down barriers between youths by integrating students from diverse socio-economic and ethno-cultural backgrounds within the school divisions in Manitoba. “

  3. Layout: Grade 7/8 Program • Strong focus on Science and Math learning outcomes • 6 students from each school • 4 schools at a time • Attend 4 sessions, every other week for an 8 week block • Followed by a 4 week “follow-up” block in which I visit schools

  4. Layout: Grade 5/6 Program • Focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) • 3 students from each school • 6 schools at a time • Attend 8 weekly sessions • Followed by a 4 week “follow-up” block in which I visit schools

  5. Grade 7/8 Program • Week 1: Introduction/WHMIS/Science Method/Measurement • Week 2: Microscopy • Week 3: Dissection • Week 4: Chemistry
