  2. What is domain • When referring to an Internet address or name a domain or domain name is the location of a website. For example, the domain name “seocourses.com" points to the IP address "216.58.216.164", but it is generally easier to remember a name rather than a long string of numbers. A domain name can be a maximum of sixty-three characters with one character minimum, and is entered after the protocol in the URL, as you can see in the following example. • On a local area network (LAN), a domain is a sub network made up of a group of clients and servers under the control of one central security database. Within a domain, users authenticate once to a centralized server known as a domain controller, rather than repeatedly authenticating to individual servers and services.

  3. What is domain hosting services • A web host, or web hosting service provider, is a business that provides the technologies and services needed for the website or webpage to be viewed in the Internet. Websites are hosted, or stored, on special computers called servers. ... If you do not have a domain, the hosting companies will help you purchase one. • Hosting (also known as website hosting or Web hosting) is the business of housing, serving, and maintaining files for one or more websites. In a sense, you rent space on a computer to hold your website.

  4. Crawler • A crawler is a program that visits Web sites and reads their pages and other information in order to create entries for a search engine index. The major search engines on the Web all have such a program, which is also known as a "spider" or a "bot." Crawlers are typically programmed to visit sites that have been submitted by their owners as new or updated. Entire sites or specific pages can be selectively visited and indexed. Crawlers apparently gained the name because they crawl through a site a page at a time, following the links to other pages on the site until all pages have been read.

  5. SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” It is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural” search results on search engines. To know more about seo you can join seo courses.

  8. What on-page optimization All the changes made on the files and servers of the website come under on page optimization. Some common examples are changing the title tag of the website, changing the meta tags of the website, rewriting content, applying redirects, adding some commands in the robots.txt file etc. In simple words, changes that one does on the website itself come under on page optimization to the meta description tag and the meta keywords tag.

  9. On-page factors /benefit • On-page factors.. Meta title ,Meta Description, Meta Keywords Header Tag ,Alt Tag ,Robots.txt file Canonical form ,Anchor text ,Xml Site map ,Html Site map ,Google Analytics ,Webmaster Tools.. • On-page SEO is the process of optimizing each and every web page of your site in order to rank higher in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS). On-Page SEO has to do with both technical SEO (titles, descriptions, urlsetc) and the content of your web pages. Following are the benefits of on page optimization.

  10. On-Page SEO Checklist: Here is a checklist you can use to make sure you are doing everything possible to rank higher in search engines. Keyword placement: Keyword in title. Keyword in permalink. Keyword in first paragraph. Keyword in image alt tag. Use LSI keywords in body (use SEO Processor plugin to find related keywords). Use LSI keyword in H2 or H3. Shoot for around a 1.5% keyword density.

  11. Other things: Remove all stop words from permalink. Add multimedia (video, slides, info graphics). Minimum 500 words. Optimize images before uploading (compress and resize). Optimize page load speed. Create a meta title less than 65 characters. Create a meta description less than 320 characters. (This is a new meta description limit for 2018) Internal links to related articles. Outbound links to relevant high-quality sites. Other things not mentioned here:

  12. Make sure to add an image for Facebook, Twitter, etc. Make sure to have social sharing buttons either at the end or floating on the site of your post. Have related posts after each post to lower down bounce rate. Things not to do: Don’t put more than one H1 tag (your post title is H1). Don’t repeat the same H2 and H3 tag. Read about heading tags for SEO. Don’t stuff keywords. Things to focus on: Use your keyword in the post title. Use long tail keywords like digital marketing training institute If writing in an evergreen niche, remove dates from the posts. (Use Date Exclusion SEO plugin.) Content length: The longer the content, the better it probably is. But don’t try to needlessly increase the content length. At the end of blog post, ask users to take action.

Create a unique title for each page .Title tag should not exceed 55-60 characters ,other wise search engines consider the page to be spam. Never repeat keywords in your title tag . This is considered as keyword stuffing and can get you banned from search engine results altogether. Meta tags are HTML codes that are inserted into the header on a web page, after the title tag. They take a variety of forms and serve a variety of purposes, but in the context of search engine optimization when people refer to meta tags, they are usually referring e.g. – Best digital marketing training institute| seo courses| affordable fees

  15. Meta Description tag: • The Meta description tag displays valuable information related to the website on the search engine result pages. The description which you see under headings while searching for queries is the content embedded under description tag. Google 150-160 characters supported. • <Meta name="description" content=“Your description. " />

  16. Keyword Density • Keyword Density No doubt including relevant keywords in your content is important but if you put too many then search engines are likely to spam your website. It is recommended to keep your keyword density around 1.5 and it should be a mix of LSI Latent Semantic Indexing keywords. You can use formatting options for better use of keywords. You should include your targeted keywords in the first paragraph and as well as last paragraph or conclusion. You can even highlight underline or put the keywords in italics to make them stand out.

  17. The Meta Keyword Tag • The Meta keyword tag shares information related to the terms that are useful in locating that particular information. The search engines use this information for finding relevance of the web page content with respect to the keywords mentioned in the keyword tag. • <meta name="keywords" content=“your keywords" />

  18. Example set of meta tags TITLE TAG <TITLE>SEO courses– Meta Tags Optimization</TITLE> DESCRIPTION META TAG <meta name=”description” content=”Create the perfect meta tags for high search engine placement.”> KEYWORDS META TAG <meta name=”keywords” content=”Meta Tags Optimization”> Robots Meta Tag <meta name=”robots” content=” noindex, nofollow”> Example set of meta tags

  19. Header tag • Header tag: Effective organic search engine optimization uses many factors all focused on your keyword phrases. Heading tags are one way of emphasizing your keywords to search engines. Heading tags are used on the headlines on your web page. Heading tags (H1 through to H6) are given much more importance by search engines than regular body text . • H Tag < Hn>Digital marketing courses</ Hn >

  20. Alt Tag • Alt tag (also referred to as image tag) is textual information related to a graphic image to indicate its relevancy and avoid indexing problems. The thing is that search engines don’t perceive websites the way we do. They cannot read images, that’s why it is important to use ALT tags to tell the search engine spiders what this or that picture is about. Basically an ALT tag is a name of a picture or graphic image. So if your image promoting your digital marketing classes then you should add your institute name in alt tag • Generally the image ALT tag looks like this • [IMG SRC="URL" ALT=“victorious digital“]

  21. Robots.txt file • Robots.txt file is considered as a convention useful to prevent cooperating web robots and web crawlers from accessing all or part of a website or its content for which we don't want to be crawled and indexed but publicly viewable. It is also employed by search engines to archive and categorize website and to generate a rule of no follow regarding some particular areas of our websites. • Robots Meta Tag <meta name=”robots” content=” noindex, nofollow ”> Example set of meta tags

  22. Canonical form • Canonicalization is the process of picking the best url when there are several choices, and it usually refers to home pages. For example, most people would consider these the same • urls: www.fortuneprops.com • fortuneprops.com/ • www.fortuneprops.com/index.html • But technically all of these urls are different. A web server could return completely different content for all the urls above. • When Google “ canonicalizes ” a url , we try to pick the url that seems like the best representative from that set.

  23. Anchor Text • Anchor text is the name of the hyperlink describing the web page associated with that link. It is the clickable text associated with the link. You can create an anchor text with the help of the <a>  tag. Example is given below: • <a href="http://www.thisisanexampleofdoll.com">Doll</a> • Here:- The href attribute specifies the link The text “Doll” is the anchor text. Hence, to create an anchor text you must supply text before the closing </a> tag <imgsrc=“Image.gif”alt=“keywords”/></A>

  24. HTML & XML Site maps • sitemap incorporates list of web-pages which is accessible to users or crawlers. This helps search engine bots and users to find out the pages on a website. The site map renders our website more search engine friendly as well enhances the probability for frequent indexing.HTML sitemap can be incorporated directly in a web page for user’s flexibility and can be implemented through proper design. On the other hand, XML sitemap is useful only for search engine crawlers or spiders and doesn't visible to users. It sits in the root of website. Such as: http://www.fortuneprops.com/sitemap.xml

  25. Google Analytics • It is a free web analysis tool first rolled out in late 2005but generally it become available for users in August 2006. This tool acts between website & internet browser/users and offers complete overview of visitors statistics which exactly says about general website activities like page views, site visits, bounce rates, average time spent on site or pages, sources of traffic, location etc. It is also obvious for tracking Adword queries.

  26. Webmaster Tool • It is a free service catered by Google which provide us a complete report for indexed data, crawling errors, back links information, search queries, website malware errors, CTR and submitting XML sitemap.
