  2. Warnings Aren’t Everywhere Not in Calvinism, legalism, or modernism • Perseverance of the saints • “Once saved, always saved” • Sales of indulgences • Confession to the priests • “Words without repentance” • All “good” people going… • All churches have God in them

Warnings in God’s Word? • Galatians 6:1- If one is caught in a trespass, restore him… • Matthew 18:15ff- if a brother sins, reprove him & win him… • James 5:19-20- If one strays & returns he is saved from death • Hebrews 3:12- evil, unbeliveving heart can fall away • Hebrews 6:4ff- CHRISTIAN can fall & be impossible to renew

  4. Knowing that we can fall, Seeing the signs for falling, And Stopping the fall Are all different things.

  6. Do we lack confidence? • Jn. 20:30-31- God wants to share LIFE with us • Heb. 6:1- intended to leave basic principles • 1 Jn. 5:13- God wants us to have confidence • 1 Jn. 3:19-21- assurance & confidence available • Phil. 4:4- intended to live in rejoicing, always!

I John 1:8, 10 Are YOU in control? No need for teaching?

Matthew 7:3-5

  15. Are you seeing any SIGNS that you need to act upon? Beating sin is similar to committing sin. It is accomplished just like all other areas of spiritual growth. It is done one step at a time.
