SunGard went public in an IPO in 1986. Since 1986 SunGard has completed more than 160 acquisitions. SunGard went private in 2005 as a result of an LBO valued at $11.4 billion. Investors include Silver Lake, Bain Capital Partners, The Blackstone Group, Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, KKR, Providence Equity Partners and Texas Pacific Group.
