  2. Shared Calendars A shared calendar is: a calendar that can be shared among any amount of people. Family, friends, and business workers are able to use this. Blogs A blog is generally an individually maintained website with regular entries of commentary on events, topics coupled with media resources such as graphics and videos that help to convey the authors viewpoint/ message. Blogs generally include links to other websites as well .   4. White Papers • A white paper is: a type of report or document that people use to determine how to solve problems and make appropriate decisions. White papers are useful to take advantage of because they can help you make important decisions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_paper

  5. Podcasts Podcasts are a series of digital media files either audio or video that are released in an episodic series. These files are syndicated over the web and can be downloaded from online applications known as podcatchers(iTunes, Zune, juice or winamp). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast

  6. Webcasts • A webcast is: a media file that is used through the internet. People use webcams to cast themselves through the internet, a webcam is a visual way to connect through the internet. This is becoming extremely popular throughout our society today. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webcast

  7. Skype A special software application that allows users to make telephone calls over the internet. Skype can also be used to partake in video conferencing and podcasting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skype

  8. Google Talk • Google talk is: a free application that can be used to talk to people over the internet. This application is similar to using the aol instant messenger.   9. Twitter Twitter is a social networking website the gives its users the ability to send messages known as tweets to group of receivers known as followers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter

  10. This is a resource that can be used to learn all of these web resources. All of the slides contain information and a image about each of the eight web recourses which are: shared calendars, blogs, white papers, podcasts, webcasts, Skype, Google Talk, and Twitter.
