  2. David Spayde I am writing this letter to you in order to give the highest recommendation possible regarding your consideration of David Spayde, for a DBM position in your region. I have been a primary care and specialty representative for Pfizer in north Florida for 10 years now and am currently working as a DSR in the side A, Tallahassee territory. Following our first major restructuring (FFO), David and I were moved from other specialty divisions into the cardiovascular division and were given mirrored positions. We took over a territory notorious for many challenges such as; massive geography, lack of access, lack of physician advocacy, almost decade long quota non-attainment, and the resignation of the previous two representatives who worked it just to name a few. This environment demanded the highest levels of commitment, engagement, territory optimization, business acumen, persuasion, communication, execution and accountability in order to produce success. During the two to three years we worked together, I was able to witness David first hand in a number of various challenging situations. David consistently exhibits a high level of selflessness and expertise in anything he is involved with. David’s strength is his ability to uncover the needs of whoever he is communicating with and position a solution that is realistic and logical to overcome whatever challenge may be present. David has a thought process that is focused on those around him which gives him a strong intuition as to what course of action to take in various situations. These attributes make David an excellent sales person within accounts, make him an outstanding partner to work with, and make him a terrific leader. During our time together, David and I were able to attain the key success necessary to take a notoriously bad cardiovascular territory to the top Lipitor Territory in the region and arguably the nation. I have no hesitation in saying; I have never had the pleasure of working with a finer representative or person than David Spayde. He works tirelessly and he understands what motivates people. David will make an excellent manager for whoever is lucky enough to get him and I personally would not hesitate to work under his guidance. Good luck in your hiring decision. If you wish to expand on any of these topics or any others please don’t hesitate to call on me. Best Regards, Jarad Moon DSR Tallahassee, FL (850)276-2189

  3. David Spayde I heard that you were interviewing David Spayde for a DBM position and I would like to endorse him for that job. Dave worked in my district for a couple of years as a Senior DSR, and I was very impressed with his sales and leadership skills.  What I think that Dave can give to this DBM position are these qualities: Driven by Business Results:  He knows how to drive business.  During his time working with me and throughout his career, he has had success in every one of his assignments.  We know that this doesn’t happen by accident, and showing consistent performance throughout a career is impressive.  Shows Emotional Intelligence.  Dave gets it.  He knows how to read people, is sensitive to their needs, and knows how to say the right thing to the right person at the right time.   He will make a great sales coach! Intellectual Horsepower:   I am assuming that one must become a quick study to be a successful DBM.   Dave has two things which are going to help in this.  First, he is still in field sales, and he will be able to model what good looks like very easily.  Second, he has a history of sales success before Pfizer which provided him with unique experiences that will help in this role.    Strong Leadership Qualities.  Dave is an individual who knows what the right thing is, and does it even if it is difficult.  He has a strong ability to rally people around a cause, and he can execute. He has proven this in his previous assignments, and if past behavior is a predictor of future results, he will do well in this role.    Please feel free to call if I can help in any way. Take Care, John Hooten

  4. David Spayde The reason for my letter today is to tell you a little about a candidate that has posted for your DBM position and to provide you with a few reasons why I think this individual would make an exceptional DBM within Pfizer. I have known David for almost twelve years and while we have never worked together on the same team, I have consistently heard about his tireless and successful efforts to impact and drive business, his proven track record of exceptional performance and his superb technical knowledge.  David has had the ability to work in primary care, CNS, Cardiovascular, Pain and now in Cluster B.  This would suggest that he is adaptable and proficient in managing through change.   I have had an opportunity to speak with David about his ambitions and goals. Without any reservations, I know that David would make a terrific addition to the Pfizer District Business Management Team. If you would like to further discuss David or if you have any questions for me, please do not hesitate to contact me at (813) 240-0402. I just did not want to miss the opportunity to express my support of David in a new role in your division. Thank you for your time and take care, Shäna Johnson District Business Manager Naples Navi-Gators

  5. David Spayde This letter is in reference to my experience in working with David Spayde and my thoughts of his leadership abilities. I have worked with David in two different districts starting in 2007. Since the time I have known David he has not only demonstrated leadership on a district level but also at an individual level as being a mentor. For example, when we were in the Pensacola district together we sold Lipitor. There was a high level cardiologist that I needed to gain access to and being a new PHR I had no experience in the specialty market. David spent the day with me coaching me on the best selling approach with specialist and how to be successful with this particular physician. I thought David’s action’s in this situation was a real world example of a leader. I took David’s advice and had success with this physician and am still using his advice on the specialists that I call on today. David also has a great ability of developing relationships with his customers and in a team environment. I have noticed David’s involvement in our district’s IEMs and how he gets the entire team involved when it is his turn to lead a specific section. David is the type of guy when he gives advice or a suggestion people will always pay attention and take notes. This is because representatives know that David is very knowledgeable and always gives sold and sound advice that will help everyone success. When David gets to the level of District Manager I would consider it an honor to work for him. I have watched him put his teammates first and I feel this is imperative to success in our field. I consider myself lucky being one of David’s teammates. He has made me more knowledgeable, self aware, and has helped my growth with Pfizer. Sincerely, Charles L Estes II
