  2. WIOA • Section 110 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Rehabilitation Act) was amended by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and took effect on July 22, 2014. • Section 113, pre-employment transition services (Pre-ETS), was added.

  3. Steps for CIL Pre-ETS Project • Review IL Grant Attachment A • Complete description for each area 1-3 • Determine prospective SWD’s (must be enrolled in school, returning to school in the fall) • Complete Application & submit by 3/24/17 Electronically to: tammy.mcsorley@vr.dese.mo.gov

  4. CILS Pre-ETS Summer Project • Overview of areas: • 1. Job Exploration Counseling • 2. Work Readiness Training-Social Skill & Independent Living • 3. Instruction in self advocacy (may include peer mentoring)

  6. Contact Hours Contact hours-Includes instruction or activity time spent with students with disabilities (SWD). Instruction or activity time can be in a classroom setting or participation in an activity set up at a learning site. Contact time cannot include time spent picking up or dropping off SWD before or after classroom time.

  7. Billing for CIL Pre-ETS Project • Invoices are required for each payment request utilizing the invoice provided. • Invoice should be billed to Vocational Rehabilitation at least monthly. • Dated Invoice should include beginning and ending date of the Pre-ETs service(s). • Invoice must include total contact hours billed.

  8. Billing for CIL Pre-ETS Project cont. • A narrative report must be included with the invoice to describe services provided in each area billed. • Daily sign in sheets for each class including student’s signature and school name are required.

  9. Bills must be submitted electronically to: Tammy.Mcsorley@vr.dese.mo.gov All bills must be submitted by 9/15/2017

Monitoring CIL Pre-ETS project • Monitoring: (Checklist) • MVR will review Application and narrative documentation to ensure there is a plan for collaboration and information sharing with schools and MVR. • MVR will review documentation (narratives, log sheets, invoices, evaluations) prior to paying invoices • MVR will ask for feedback for future programming (recommendations)
