Children born in mid 1990s • E-mail and cell phones have always been a part of the world • George H.W. Bush is as distant to them as Warren G. Harding • Have always known soda to be in plastic bottles • Have likely never used a rotary phone or electric typewriter, or even realize the origin of the “QWERTY” system • Haven’t seen the cinematic treasure, The Goonies! What a crime • Probably do not remember TV less than 65 channels let alone 13, 3, or black and white • Were so young in 2001 that they likely do not remember pre 9/11 • Have never experienced the anxiety of the Cold War nuclear threat • Have always known a unified Germany • Are more likely to know the Beatles from Rock Band than from records or even tapes and CDs
Education and Previous Experience West Chester University -BSED History Penn State University -Masters in Education (current) Classes Taught Previously in PA State U.S. History, European History, Global Studies Coaching Tennis, Rugby, Track, and Football (yes football)
