The peaks here rise for almost 14000 feet and is more popular with hikers and mountaineers alike. It is also home to North America’s active volcano- Volcan DE Fuego which occasionally spits some lavas. These regions form part of Colima Volcanic Complex and are the youngest amongst the three volcanoes. It stretches for 485 kilometers, and besides its mountain ranges and hiking activities, it is also a popular animal spotting region for deer, squirrel, chipmunks, fox, raccoons, and several bird species.
