  3. Getting Started • Think about Who You Are and Where You See Yourself Going. • Describe Yourself in Broad Professional Terms. • Reimagine What You Can Do with Your Career.

  4. Competencies • Where to Find Them • What Are They • How to Interpret Them • What Competencies Are Not

  5. Implementation: Creating a Path for Yourself • It Begins with You and Your Vision for Yourself—This Is for You! • What Are Your Strengths/What Are Those Things that You Avoid (aka Weaknesses)? • Where Do You Want to Be and When—Be Specific.

  6. Implementation (con’d) • Prepare a Competencies Roadmap and a Time Frame—Stick to It! • Determine Your Flexibilities in Terms of Location, Pay, Supervision, etc. • Conduct Informational Interviews and NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK
