  2. What is a Migraine • Migraines cause an intense pulsing or throbbing in one area of the head, usually accompanied by nausea, vomiting and extreme. • Preceded by sensory warnings like flashes of light, black spots, or tingling in arms or legs.

  3. Cause of Migraines • Allergies and allergic reactions • Bright lights, loud noises, and certain odors or perfumes • Physical or emotional stress • Changes in sleep patterns or irregular sleep • Smoking or exposure to smoke • Skipping meals or fasting • Alcohol

  4. treatments • Pain-relieving medications. Also known as acute or abortive treatment, these types of drugs are taken during migraine attacks and are designed to stop symptoms that have already begun. • Preventive medications. These types of drugs are taken regularly, often on a daily basis, to reduce the severity or frequency of migraines. • Anti Inflammatory • Opiates • Ergot • Nausea Relievers • Triptans
