  3. To conjugate in the preterite:(regular –AR verbs) 1. Take infinitive 2. Drop ending (last 2 letters) 3. Add preterite tense -AR endings

  6. -CAR, -GAR, -ZAR verbs There is a spelling change in the YO form of preterite regular verbs that end in: • car • gar • zar
