On the frontlines of Ukraine's counteroffensive

The real tests of Kyiv's counteroffensive lie ahead, with Ukrainian troops some distance from Russia's main defensive line and the bulk of forces prepared for the push still on standby. Ukraine has announced more successes in its counter-offensive against Russian positions. Ukrainian forces say they are making u201cmodest but steadyu201d progress in three areas of attack across the 1,000km (620 miles) front line.
