  3. POSTAL SYSTEM 1) Introduced by LORD CLIVE IN 1756 2) First Post Office was opened in Kolkata during 1774 for sending communication to private persons. 3) Postage Stamp was introduced in 1852. 4) Postage of Stamp was introduced in Post Office during 1854. 2

  4. OTHER CENTRAL GOVT. EST. 1) Railway system was introduced in 1853 2) Telegraph system was introduced in 1853 3

  5. TRADE UNION 1. Trade Union conscious was started among the textiles workers during 18th century in Bombay, Nagpur. 2. Ist strike was organised in 1877 for demanding wage revision. 3. Ist Trade Union was started in Chennai during 19th century. 4

  6. TRADE UNION IN P & T 1. BabuTarapadaMukherji joined in Department on 1-2-1895 2. Postal Club started in 1905 at Calcutta. 3. In Bombay it was started in 1907 5
