  2. Climate Change: Long Challenged to the Poor After heavy monsoon rains and caused massive floods across Thailand, from 31 July 2011 to 16 January 2012. One third of Thailand’s provinces were devastated. • Cover land area: 65 provinces, 684 districts, 6 million hectares, • Directly affected to 13,595,192 million people or 4,086,138 households, • 813 dead and 3 still missing, • Houses: totally damage 2,329 units and badly hit of 96,833 unit • Total worse report by World Bank up to 44 million US$

  3. Thailand Massive floods in the decade • Closed monitor and immediate met with the victims, • Provides “Life Relief Package” or Bags of spirit to the victims, • Immediate evaluation and continuously rendered to help,

CLT Plan fight against “Climate Change” “Our work has just began to help the people survived the initial impact of the massive floods” • Launched special program, namely “Coops Care for All Floods Victims” and set up special fund, namely, “CLT Fund for Natural Disaster” • “CLT Mobile Kitchen” to provide meals for floods victims in the affected areas • Formulate long term plan; • CLT Natural Floods Relief Center • Relief and Recovery Plan • Rehabilitation Plan • Operational skill training • Strategies Training • Strong commitment to raise awareness the role of cooperatives concerned to communities.
