  2. Bit • A bit is a binary digit, taking a value of either 0 or 1. Binary digits are a basic unit of information storage and communication in digital computing and digital information. • The bit is just zeros. • ANT : Bite • SYN : Bit

  3. Search Engine • a computer program that searches documents, especially on the World Wide Web, for a specified word or words and provides a list of documents in which they are found. • Google is a type of search engine. • SYN : Bing • ANT :

  4. File • An element of data in a storage system. • I save my work to a different file everyday. • SYN : Document • ANT : Folders

  5. Keyboard • A hardware device consisting of a number of mechanical buttons (keys) which the user presses to input characters to a everyday computer. • I use the keyboard when im on Facebook. • SYN : Manuel • ANT : Print

  6. Folder • Also called folder. an organizing unit in a computer's file system for storing and locating files. In a hierarchical file system, directories can contain child directories (subdirectories) as well as files. • I use a folder to organize my papers for school. • SYN : Organizer • ANT : Binder

  7. Scroll • To change the portion of a document displayed in a window or on a VDU screen. In a graphical user interface, scrolling is usually controlled by the user via scroll bars, whereas on a VDU the text scrolls up automatically as lines of data are output at the bottom of the screen. • When I am on my myspace I scroll up an down to see who is online. • ANT : Expand • SYN : Browse

The term is used to distinguish these fixed parts of a system from the more change able software or data components which it executes, stores, or carries. • I would like to use the hardware on the computer in tech class. • SYN : Keyboard • ANT : Software

  10. Website • Any computer on the Internet running a World-Wide Web server process. A particular website is usually identified by the hostname part of a URL.   11. Upload • to transfer (software, data, character sets, etc.) from a smaller to a larger computer. • I upload pictures to my computer. • ANT : Share • SYN : Download

  12. Backup • A copy or duplicate version, especially of a file, program, or entire computer system retained for use in the event that the original is in some way rendered unusable. • I am so happy I got backup cause all my stuff on my computer would be gone. • ANT : Delete • SYN : Copy
